The hotell had a fantastic wiev and a huge pool

Far from beach with unfriendly staff , terrible breakfast and hardly no other guests , a little bit like Hotel Overlock from the movie Shining :)

Our room had spectacular views over Tropea. The hotel is situated high up, looking over the town below and the vast sea ahead.

Reception was unwelcoming. The lift is on the far side of the reception area, and up a flight of stairs. There was no help with our luggage and it was even too much trouble for the man at reception to point out the lift to us. The hotel is a tired, unmaintained big resort - probably good for families with children as it has an olympic size swimming pool. It lacks any charm or friendliness. On arrival, the first thing we were confronted with on the driveway was their garbage dump. No effort made at all to keep it tidy or hide it from view.

The bar should have been located by an outside sitting area, pool or rooftop terasse.
